The Unicist Research Institute (TURI) is a global institution, dedicated to basic and applied research in the field of complexity sciences. The development of the unicist ontology made the research of complexity possible by using unicist logic and logical inferences. Applied research at TURI is focused on the development of ontology-based technologies for social, institutional, individual and business applications. The objective is to focus on complex problems applied research with our global research organization composed by over 200 researchers distributed in 18 countries (February 2007). Our research is focused on four segments: 1) Life Sciences Evolution 2) Individuals Evolution 3) Institutional Evolution 4) Social Evolution Volunteers are supposed to develop their complexity research skills to integrate The Unicist Research Institute's Think Tanks. Unicist Think Tanks are groups of complexity researchers from all over the world. They develop their studies and research work according to the conceptual models found in their research fields. Before applying we recommend you to compare the unicist research approach to complexity with other alternatives available in the world. By taking the Guided Tour to the The Unicist Research Institute, you will find the links to alternative research institutions at the left side of the guide. The minimal commitment of a volunteer is:
•To participate in a reserch -Internet- (20 hours/month x 12 months) •To integrate a virtual debate group
Volunteers receive:
•The unicist complexity research methodologies •An assessment program •A volunteering certificate
There are different conditions for those who are interested and qualified for a higher commitment.
